Regional Integration Collaborative
Regional Integration Collaboratives (RICs) are where TRANSFORM's real-world work happens. Each RIC brings together consumers and carers, clinicians, community health workers and researchers from the same region to identify where care breaks down and work together on practical ways to improve it.
We are looking for people who have lived experience of a chronic condition, or who have recently cared for someone who does, and who have moved between different parts of the health system — for example between a GP, a specialist, or a hospital.
What's involved
Meetings every one to two months, approximately one to two hours each
A mix of in-person and online sessions
Some reading of materials between meetings
Full training and support provided
You will be paid in line with the University of Melbourne Social Equity Institute's Compensation Guidelines for Community Research Participation, including reimbursement of travel and parking.
Positions are available in three regions: North West Melbourne, Eastern Melbourne, and South East Melbourne. You can apply for one or more regions.

Research Officer - North West Region
Are you passionate about fixing fragmentation in healthcare and improving outcomes for people living with chronic conditions?
We're looking for a Research Officer to join the Department of General Practice and Primary Care at Melbourne University and help drive implementation and evaluation across our North West Melbourne region.
What you'll do:
* Support Regional Integration Collaborative meetings, documentation, and follow-up actions
* Conduct ethics-approved patient journey mapping interviews and support qualitative data coding and synthesis
* Coordinate Experience-Based Co-Design workshops and stakeholder involvement across North West Melbourne
* Work alongside TRANSFORM researchers and consumer partners to support the design and evaluation of integrated care models
What we're looking for:
* A tertiary qualification in health sciences, public health, or a related field
*Experience conducting qualitative interviews or structured conversations with patients or community members
* Familiarity with co-design or participatory methodologies, such as Experience-Based Co-Design
* Strong stakeholder relationship skills across consumers, health services, policymakers, and academic partners
* Sound organisational skills and a working understanding of research ethics, consent, and data governance
Part time (0.6 FTE), fixed term for 3 years. Salary $87,266 to $118,416 p.a. (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation.

Consumer Partner
Translation and Policy Steering Committee
The Translation and Policy Steering Committee (TPSC) is TRANSFORM's senior advisory body. Its role is to ensure that what the program learns actually changes how care is organised and delivered across Victoria.
We are looking for consumer partners who can bring a genuine lived experience perspective to high-level decisions about which innovations are prioritised, how findings reach policy, and how TRANSFORM's work addresses the needs of people who find the health system hardest to navigate.
You may have direct experience of chronic illness, experience as a carer, or experience representing consumers through an organisation. What matters is that you can bring a genuine consumer perspective to program-wide decisions.
What's involved
Three meetings per year, approximately two hours each (4.00pm – 6.00pm)
First meeting in person; subsequent meetings online
Some reading of papers between meetings
Full orientation and support provided before your first meeting
You will be paid in line with the University of Melbourne Social Equity Institute's Ethical Compensation Guidelines for Community Research Participants, including reimbursement of travel and parking.
